The Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Initial Course, accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA), is designed to equip healthcare professionals with the specialized knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage pediatric emergencies and improve patient outcomes in critical care situations.
Participants in this comprehensive course will learn the latest evidence-based guidelines and algorithms for pediatric assessment, resuscitation, and post-resuscitation care. The curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including pediatric assessment, recognition and management of respiratory and cardiovascular emergencies, airway management, and pharmacological interventions specific to pediatric patients.

Q: Who can attend the CE Rodeo?A: EMS providers of all license levels (EMT, AEMT, Paramedic) are welcome. Each day is structured to meet level-specific CE needs.

Q: How many spots are available?A: Each session is limited to 10 participants and registration is first-come, first-served.

Q: Are the CE hours approved for license renewal?A: Yes! All CE courses are approved for MDHHS EMS licensure. However, METI does not guarantee all CE hours will meet every provider’s specific renewal needs.

Q: Does this include all the CE hours I need to renew my license?A: No. The CE Rodeo does not include 1 hour of individual CE for the Paramedic level or 2 hours of CPR/BLS required by MDHHS. METI offers additional courses to fulfill those requirements. Attached is a copy of the METI CE Course Hours Audit against the MDHHS Requirements.

Q: Do I have to attend every day?A: Yes, participants must attend all required days for their license level. If you miss a day, you’ll only receive credit for days attended, per MDHHS and METI policy.

Q: Can I get a refund if I miss a day?A: No. All payments are final, and no refunds will be given for absences.

Q: What if I need help finishing the rest of my CE hours?A: METI offers additional classes year-round to help you complete your CE requirements.
